European Centre for Ecological and Agricultural Tourism is a European not for profit founded in 1992 in order to link tourism with sustainability. ECEAT follows a business oriented approach through the development and implementation of standards, management systems, training tools and by providing marketing support. ECEAT is co-founder of VISIT, the European association for sustainable tourism certificates and has initiated greentravelmarket.info, a global BtoB service linking sustainable and CBT suppliers to international tour operators. ECEAT – Projects recently implemented sustainable tourism marketing and standards setting projects in Latin America, West Africa, South East Asia (e.g. regional CBT standards linked to GSTC).
