“Sustainable tourism certification is also increasing. For the past two years, the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) has been busy accrediting certification bodies – such as Ecotourism Australia and the US-based Rainforest Alliance – to certify highly sustainable operators, with a directory of tour operators and hotels certified by those bodies due to be released by mid-2018.”
