The Ibero-American Forum on Sustainable Tourism (TuriSOS) brought together thirty speakers from over 15 countries in its fifth edition on May 10th at Andalucía Lab, Marbella-Málaga, Spain.
GSTC Chair Luigi Cabrini participated in the roundtable “Climate Change, SDGs 2030 & Travel Agencies” along with Javier Cortés, Co-Director of Lead Sustainability, Jordi Martí Utset, President of ACAVe, and Lucía Prieto Fuentes from the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), who moderated the session.
At the forum, a Special Recognition was awarded to the “Top 50 + 1 Inspiring Leaders in Tourism, Culture, Gastronomy, Innovation, Communication, and Sustainability in Europe and Latin America,” among whom was Mr. Cabrini. He received a certificate of recognition for his impeccable career and leadership in sustainable tourism.
“Receiving the certificate of recognition for my career and leadership in sustainable tourism reinforces my commitment to continue working towards a future where tourism is a positive force for environmental conservation and the well-being of our communities,” said Luigi Cabrini.
The Ibero-American Forum on Sustainable Tourism #TuriSOS was born during the pandemic with the aim of becoming a meeting point to promote tourism, culture, gastronomy, and innovation between Andalusia-Spain, other European countries, and Latin America.
The event was a gathering point for executives and entrepreneurs, with specialized debates and presentations addressing aspects related to artificial intelligence, the importance of digitalization of businesses, sports tourism, regenerative and inclusive tourism, sustainability in hotels, emerging startups, and more.
